Terms of use
Updated 29 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Spurt, an iPhone and iPad app made by edboapps. Spurt is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement together with these terms; by using Spurt you agree to both. Questions go to support@spurt.day.
Your account
You sign in with Apple. You’re responsible for what you put in Spurt and for keeping your device secure. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, under Delete account; the privacy policy says what that removes.
Shared lists and sent tasks
What you add to a shared list is seen by everyone on it, and a task you send is seen by the person you send it to. Only invite and send to people you know. Don’t use shared lists or sent tasks for anything unlawful, abusive or that you don’t have the right to share.
The person who starts a shared list can rename it, remove people, hand it to someone on it, and delete it for everyone. If something on a shared list or in a sent task is wrong, use Report this list in the list’s menu or Report this task on the task; it comes straight to us, and we act on reports within 24 hours. You can stop tasks from anyone, and allow them again in Settings.
Spurt Pro
Spurt is free to use. Spurt Pro is optional: it removes ads and opens every theme. It comes as a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase, and the price is shown in the app before you buy.
Subscriptions are charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. They renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. If you start a free trial, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple.
Ads
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. The privacy policy explains how they work and the choices you have.
Fair use
Don’t misuse Spurt: no attempts to break it, copy it, reverse engineer it or use it against the law.
No guarantees
Spurt is built to be reliable, but it’s provided “as is”. It may not always be available or free of errors, so keep anything critical somewhere else too. To the extent the law allows, edboapps isn’t liable for indirect or consequential loss from using Spurt. Nothing here limits your rights under consumer protection law.
Changes and ending
Spurt and these terms may change. If the terms change, this page and the date at the top change with them. Accounts that break these terms may be suspended. If Spurt ever shuts down, you’ll get notice in the app first.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
